(Two year program for students in grades 11 & 12 - 3 high school credits first year/4 high school credits second year.) This program provides training in the use of oxy-acetylene, arc, MIG and TIG welding equipment and practices to shape and form metal. Students will develop skill in fabrication of metals according to diagrams, blueprints, or written specifications. The program is articulated with New River Community College with 4 credits awarded for WEL 123 - Arc Welding I if the student completes the class with at least a B average and enrolls into the Welding Technology program at New River Community College. Students may take the NOCTI Job Ready assessment in Welding at the end of the program.
